Tom Mcfall Producer / Engineer / Programmer / Mixer | ||||
Tom played in a variety of bands as a teenager moving between playing guitar as well as keyboards and samplers. At Middlesex University he studied music, specializing in composition. During this time Tom further developed his fledgling studio skills. In his Graduation year Tom formed a band with his brother called ‘Serial POP’, which rose swiftly to release a couple of EP’s and an album with various indie labels. During the twilight years of the band Tom started as a trainee assistant at Fortress Studios in London, going on eventually to become house engineer. In 2005 a series of sliding doors led Tom to take up a Pro-Tools role on an album Produced by Garrett ‘Jacknife’ Lee. The relationship was productive from the start and a month later Garrett invited Tom to Engineer Snow Patrol's ‘Eyes Open’ album. Since then Tom has continued to work with Garrett on Bloc Party, Editors and R.E.M. whilst also striking out on Productions of his own including Television Room, Director and Kill 2008 was a whirlwind of international work for Tom producing the debut Black Soul Strangers album in Dublin, Tom adds this project to his other Productions for last year of The Minutes (Universal), Dinosaur Pile-Up and The Lost Boys as well as Mixes for The Rivers (Universal). 2009 has begun with further investment in his great relationship with Jacknife Lee, Tom has been engineering on Weezer's forthcoming album, recording additional tracks for Snow Patrol and is currently working in LA on AFI.Tom's own projects for the year have started with mixing the new album for The Crimea and he is scheduled to Produce the next album for Stars in Montreal. | ||
